This can only be achieved by working in partnership with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, providing opportunities and promoting and building mutual respect. This is embedded in Monash Health’s Strategic Plan, Reconciliation Action Plan and Aboriginal Employment Plan.

Monash Health is committed to closing the health gap and this is demonstrated through our governance structures, including policies and procedures, as well as the care our employees deliver in acute, subacute and community services.

Monash Health has developed and implemented a Reconciliation Action Plan in partnership with the Aboriginal community, has signed the Statement of Intent to close the health gap and has an Aboriginal Employment Plan in place.
