Dr. Avraham Travers MBBS BMedSci FRACP
Dr Avi Travers is a medical oncologist currently undertaking a Phase 1 clinical trials fellowship with the Monash Health Early Phase Trials unit. Graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2011, he completed his early medical training with Western Health. Dr Travers undertook further medical oncology specialist training in both Victoria and NSW, spending time at the Calvary Mater Newcastle, Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Dr Travers also completed a fellowship with the Centre for Translational Breast Cancer Research (TransBCR) based at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute for Medical Research.
Dr Travers has a particular interest in caring for patients with breast and gastrointestinal cancers, as well as translational and early phase research. He is a member of several national collaborative groups, including Breast Cancer Trials and the Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG), and is excited by the opportunities that clinical trials provide individuals living with cancer.
