A patient at Monash Children’s Hospital has stepped into the limelight, voicing a character in the new ABC children’s animation, Do Not Watch This Show.

Seven-year-old Bonnie took on the role of ‘Red Jelly’.

There was nothing wobbly about her performance. She delivered her lines with aplomb!

The show’s creator – the author of the acclaimed Do Not Open This Book series, entertainer Andy Lee – visited Bonnie on Canopy ward, to give her a sneak peek of her scene before the program’s release.

Bonnie and her ‘agent’, aka mum Kellie, surprised Andy with a gift – a pot of red jelly!

Bonnie, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour when she was 2, was a VIP at the show’s premiere at the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI).

She attended the event with her family.
