I have worked within Monash Health for over five years. My role as a Menu Administrator involves overseeing the Central Production Kitchen (CPK) 1, 2, and 3. I am responsible for production planning and communicating with both internal and external clients within and outside of Monash Health. Within the Central Production Kitchen, we always aim to provide the best level of care for the patients. Our services involve ensuring that our patients’ dietary needs and requirements are met with the highest possible care.
I have a passion for food services, patient care, and making a positive impact on people’s lives. In the Central Production Kitchen, we prepare about 3,000 meals per day. These meals vary in type, depending on specific textures and consistencies required to ensure they meet the correct quality standards for our patients. Each patient has unique dietary needs, whether they are on a puree diet, a minced diet, or a soft and bite-sized diet. We strive to provide each meal with the utmost quality of care.
Part of my role includes interacting with the patients within the wards. This allows me to understand their dietary preferences and have conversations with them to ensure they are doing well. The best part of my day is bringing a smile to a patient’s face. Monash Health is a great place to work, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking career growth, expanding their knowledge, and developing new skills.
