Monash Health in the Media: Volunteer Vicky brightens days of residents at Chestnut Gardens Monash Health Aged Care

Dedicated volunteer Vicky Cooper, has helped create exceptional experiences at Monash Health for over 15 years.

As reported by Star News, the 76-year-old has been committed to supporting our patients and teams at Dandenong Hospital and Chestnut Gardens Monash Health Aged Care. Vicky is always looking for ways to brighten their days.

Every week Vicky hosts bingo and brings her wonderful sense of humour to Chestnut Gardens.

She is a great support to the wellbeing team in highlighting special occasions; whether it is dressing up as Santa for Christmas or cooking up a delicious BBQ on public holidays.

Vicky said the people she met and became friendly with were the reasons she stuck with the volunteering.

“It is the pleasure you get out of seeing people smile,” she said.

Monash Health and the teams at Dandenong Hospital and Chestnut Gardens Monash Health Aged Care thank Vicky and all our volunteers for making such a positive difference in the lives of others.
