Speech Pathologists provide centre-based and home-based services to people over 18 years of age living with chronic conditions or disability who are experiencing loss of function, personal confidence and independence due to impairment of communication and/or swallowing. We work with people requiring therapeutic input for:
- Swallowing And Eating Disorders (Dysphagia)
- Communication Impairments ( Aphasia, Dementia, Dysarthria, Non-verbal)
- Voice And Laryngeal Airway Dysfunction ( Dysphonia, Vocal Cord Dysfunction, Laryngeal Hypersensitivity, Chronic Cough)
Eligibility Criteria
This service is for people aged 18-65 with a disability or long-term impairment living in the City of Greater Dandenong, City of Casey or Cardinia Shire.
This service is not:
- for people 65 years and older. Please refer those over 65 years through the My Aged Care portal.
- available for Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Chronic Disease Management Plans
