Monash Health is Victoria′s largest health service located across Melbourne′s south-eastern suburbs. Our vision is to provide better health in our community as an Australian leader in our field.
We are unique in providing within one organisation; primary, secondary and tertiary health services, as well as university affiliated international research and teaching facilities.
We offer quality health care across the entire lifespan from pre-birth to palliative care, for all groups and stages of life, from prevention, early intervention and primary care to highly complex acute, aged, residential and mental health services. Our core community of over 913,000 people (22% of Melbourne’s population, depend on us for all aspects of their public health care needs).
Our services are available to a greater population of 1.294 million or 32% of Melbourne, and we perform a wider referral role in many specialist services for greater Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate.
Over 13,000 staff work at over 40 sites including the major hospital facilities of; Monash Medical Centre Clayton and Moorabbin, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, the Kingston Centre and Cranbourne Integrated Community Care Centre, as well as our extensive community rehabilitation, community health and mental health services throughout the region.
In the last financial year we provided over 1.37 million episodes of care, triaged more than 160,000 emergency presentations, performed over 40,000 operations, and delivered over 8,900 new Victorians.
