Acute medical surgical

The Acute Medical Surgical Transition to Speciality Practice (TSP) is a one year professional development program.

The program is offered to Registered Nurses already employed within Monash Health and working specifically in the Acute Medical Surgical areas across our sites that do not have a separate TSP.

The TSP recognises the diverse and advanced knowledge and skill base required from nurses working in these increasingly complex areas.

This program will further progress medical surgical nurses by advancing knowledge, clinical skills and leadership skills through a combination of paid study days, tutorials and assessments.

The program concentrates on the development of advanced pathophysiology knowledge, health assessment and nursing management of all body systems, integrating evidence based practice and a patient centred approach.

Please note: This program is for internal applicants only

For further information please contact a Monash Health Medical-Surgical Clinical Nurse Educator at one of our campuses.
