Watch the recording of our HMO2 Information Session hosted on 11 May 2023 by Monash Doctors Workforce
Monash Health offers opportunities in line with the AMC PGY2 Framework.

The Monash Health PGY2 program offers a structured and supportive transition from Internship to more independent clinical practice, aligned with the AMC’s National Framework for Prevocational Medical Training (NFPMT).

The program is designed to consolidate core clinical competencies while providing broad generalist exposure across acute, subacute, and specialty services. PGY2 rotations will offer you the following Clinical Exposure Areas:

  • Undifferentiated illness patient care (A)
  • Chronic illness patient care (B)
  • Acute and critical illness patient care (C)

With access to a varied case-mix across Monash Health’s extensive network, PGY2 trainees can explore vocational interests while building confidence in decision-making, teamwork, and leadership. Dedicated education streams, mentorship, and wellbeing supports further ensure doctors are equipped to meet both current clinical demands and future training pathway goals.

Further information is available in our FAQs below and within Position Descriptions available during live advertisement.
