Carolers spread cheer at Dandenong Hospital

The halls of Dandenong Hospital were alive with the sounds of carols this month!

Staff, volunteers and members of the local community sang their way around the hospital on December 3, spreading festive spirit.

‘They were fantastic, just so good!’ said Dana Kiley, Director of Clinical Operations for Surgery at Dandenong Hospital.

‘It brings so much joy to everyone. Patients and staff, we all just love it.’

The event was organized by Spiritual Care Coordinator Ime Udofia with Volunteer Coordinator Vicky Vasilopoulos.

The carolers visited wards, the Emergency Department and cafe.

‘The staff, they become paparazzi, and they just love it! They keep the energy going, because we see all the cameras flashing and we hear the cheering, and some of them join us,’ said Ime.

‘We had the Patient Support Services (PSS) workers as they walked through with their meal trolleys singing and dancing along. That just made it more festive.’

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part – you sleigh-ed it!
