What do I need to do to join Healthwise Fitness?

Step one: Complete ‘Release and disclaimer’

You can call in at one of our gyms and speak with one of our Member Service Officers to decide how you would like to tailor your plan and get you started. You will need to fill out a quick health questionnaire and then we will make an appointment for you to consult with one of our trainers, who will provide you with an orientation and develop a program to suit your needs.

Step two: Read and sign member agreement

Please read through the checklist and sign the agreement. These requirements have been put in place to ensure your own safety and the safety of others in avoiding the spread of COVID-19.

Step two: Select your method of payment

There are three payment options:

Payroll deduction

If you are a Monash Health employee or a Hudson Institute employee, we can organise payroll services to deduct your gym membership fees directly from your pre-tax fortnightly salary.

Direct debit

This membership option is available for all contractors, students, and affiliates of Monash Health.

$17.50 per week can be debited from your credit card or directly from your bank account — Small fees apply and contract is minimum term of 6 months. Cancellation fees apply.

Paying upfront

This membership option is available for all contractors, students, and affiliates of Monash Health.

Price depends on the length of membership required and is inclusive of GST.

  • 4 weeks = $62.00 ($15.50 per week)
  • 8 weeks = $124.00 ($15.50 per week)
  • 12 weeks = $180.00 ($15.00 per week)
  • 16 weeks = $240.00 ($15.00 per week)
  • 26 weeks = $364.00 ($14.00 per week)
  • 52 weeks = $728.00 ($14.00 per week)

Casual pass (pay upfront)

Casual Pass = $17.00 per visit and includes entry to Group Fitness Classes

Healthwise Fitness is staffed at the following times:

  • Monday – 7.45am to 5.15pm
  • Tuesday – 7.45am to 5.15pm
  • Wednesday – 7.45am to 5.15pm
  • Thursday – 7.45am to 5.15pm
  • Friday –  11am to 2pm

Step three: Submit your membership registration

To submit your membership registration, email your registration forms to gymnasium@monashhealth.org or come onsite and fill them in with one of our Member Service Officers. The forms include:

  • Release and disclaimer
  • Payroll deduction

When emailing the forms, please consider emailing two separate PDF documents, one per form to assist us with the administration process.

Fitness Passport members

Monash Health employees signed up for Fitness Passport can visit Healthwise Fitness at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton.

Included in Healthwise Fitness access for employees with Fitness Passport are popular services and facilities such as:

  • 24/7 access to all gym equipment and areas
  • On Demand Your Reformer Classes – available to all members outside of scheduled class times
  • Group Fitness Classes in Group Fitness Room
  • Access to the sauna
  • Change room and showers

Please note:

  • The timetabled Pilates Reformer Classes are not included in a Fitness Passport membership
  • When signing up for Fitness Passport, it is a minimum 12-month contract period
  • No pre-tax salary deduction available for Fitness Passport membership

For employees wishing to make the most of Fitness Passport at Healthwise Fitness, be sure to visit during staffed times for your first time. The Healthwise Fitness team can then onboard you and your Fitness Passport membership for 24/7 access.

Due to the location of Healthwise Fitness, only Monash Health employees will be able to access the gym.
