The Monash Health Clinical Trials Centre opened in the Monash Health Translation Precinct (MHTP) in 2015.

The MHTP is a partnership between Monash Health, Monash University and Hudson Institute of Medical Research.

Since 2015, we have had strengthened links between education and training, basic and clinical research, and patient care.

One of the most recent success stories is that of grandmother, Cheryl Munday, who has had a remarkable response to treatment on a clinical trial at Monash Health.

Cheryl had stage four breast cancer with a BRCA gene, which had spread to her lungs and liver. Today, Cheryl said she "feels fantastic" and has a second chance at life.

Dr Ben Markman, Monash Health Oncologist says a combination of drugs exploit defects in DNA repair and exploit the immune system.
