Telephones

You can hire a telephone from reception to make unlimited local calls. Payments are pre-paid by credit card or over the telephone and is active after five minutes. Private health insurance typically will not cover this cost.

Interstate calls will require a prepaid phone card from outside. Our telephone service does not have access to 1 300 numbers. If you do not wish to hire the telephone you will be able to receive calls only.

Television

You can hire a television from reception with 16 channels including Foxtel (8 channels). Payments are pre-paid by credit card or over the telephone and is active after five minutes. Private health insurance typically will not cover this cost.

If you are moved to another bed please notify the Patient Telephone/ Television operators by dialling 03 9594 2144. They will need to know your current and new bed number.  Please note, television hire is not transferrable to another patient and is non-refundable. 

Radio 

Beside every bed in the ward is a handset, which is also a radio receiver.
