|Description of the services||The specialist Dental Unit at Clayton provides a specialist dental and oral health service in a tertiary setting. Referrals are accepted from Community Health Centre’s, private dentists, GP’s and Southern Health doctors for patients who have a medical status which precludes them from being treated in a community or private practice setting.
Treatment Criteria includes;

|Eligibility criteria||For patients who require treatment in a tertiary hospital and reside within the Southern Health catchment|
|GP Investigations to be performed||Relevant diagnostic imaging (X-Ray/CT/MRI) of affected area. Patient to bring films at time of appointment.|
|Cost||Nil to patients eligible for Medicare.
Note: Patients ineligible for Medicare will be charged a fee for all services provided
